رنگ خوشبو میں اگر حل ہو جائے وصل کا خواب مکمل ہو جائے
If colors turn to fragrant hues, and dreams of togetherness can come true

چاند کا چوما ہوا سرخ گلاب تیتری دیکھے تو پاگل ہو جائے
The moon’s kiss turns roses red, making birds go crazy in their head,

میں اندھیروں کو اجالوں ایسے تیری آنکھ کا کاجل ہو جائے
I turn the darkness into light, making kohl for your eyes, my special sight,

دوش پر بارشیں لے کے گھومیں میں ہوا اور وہ بادل ہو جائے
With rain upon our shoulders, I am the wind she’s the cloud, together we spin around,

نرم سبزے پہ ذرا جھک کے چلے شبنمی رات کا آنچل ہو جائے
Bending softly on the green, dewy night veil, a peaceful scene,

عمر بھر تھامے رہے خوشبو کو پھول کا ہاتھ مگر شل ہو جائے
I hold onto scent all life long, flowers wither, and their beauty is gone,

چڑیا پتوں میں سمٹ کر سوئے پیڑ یوں پھیلے کہ جنگل ہو جائے۔
Birds nestle in leaves to sleep; trees grow tall into a forest deep.
